We welcome you to visit us in Downtown Salinas – the historic center for arts culture and cuisine located in the Steinbeck District of town. We are open 7 days a week for a convenient and comfortable book browsing experience between 10am and 9pm.
We feature gently used books for all ages and interests and new titles with an emphasis on local authors.
Downtown Book & Sound is also a big fan of music and carries a great selection of CDs – plus we have a carefully curated section of vinyl and even a few cassette tapes.
We feature local talent and host “listening opportunities” during the 1st Fridays Art Walk and the 3rd Thursday Songwriters Competition.
