Get ready kids and kids at heart! LEGO just announced that it’s releasing its biggest Marvel set yet! Besides being the largest (3,772 pieces!), The LEGO Daily Bugle is also going to be the tallest, standing at an impressive 82 centimeters (roughly 32 inches). The set will feature three floors of offices, as well as the front street and back alley, perfect for supervillains to lurk. It’s also built in a modular fashion, meaning that the walls and floors can be easily removed to get to different parts of the set.

The Daily Bugle is the fictional famous newspaper that Peter Park worked at under editor J. Jonah Jameson. While the building itself was portrayed by the Flatiron Building in the movies, this LEGO version is a new take on the building. It will also include 25 LEGO characters, including Marvel’s greatest New York superheroes and supervillains: Spider-Man, Mysterio, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Doctor Octopus, and exclusive Blade and Daredevil minifigures.

LEGO is no stranger to creating sets based on popular fandoms (Star Wars and Harry Potter, for example), but set designer Mark John Stafford has been thinking about this particular set for a while. He said:

I was seven years old when I was given my first Spider-man comic and I have always had an image of creating a LEGO model of the Daily Bugle and having Spidey and his Amazing Friends in conflict with his various enemies. One of my favourite elements is the Green Goblin flying inside the building through the window. Being able to design a moment of frozen action like this in a LEGO set has always been a dream and I finally got to make it happen!

The LEGO Daily Bugle set will be released on May 26 for LEGO VIP members, and June 1 for everyone else. It will cost $299.99.

This should hold us over until at least December when Spider-Man: No Way Home is released (although don’t expect Andrew Garfield to be involved). Are you excited to build the LEGO Daily Bugle? How long do you think it will take you? Let us know in the comments below!
